Status tracking through SMS (Optional)

SMS news updates will be sent to you informing you of the status of your visa application. Once purchased you will receive several automated feedback messages to your mobile phone at various stages of the visa application process. The service supports the transfer of SMS text into the language of your choice (Chinese and English languages are available).

At the end of the process you will receive an automated message to your registered mobile phone number and email address provided in your application form, informing you that the Australian Embassy/Consulate General has arrived at a decision with regard to your application.

Please note that this SMS service will not update you on requests for additional documents or information made by the Embassy/Consulate General. These requests will be sent via your email address or telephone call.

You can avail this SMS service for RMB 18 at the time you submit your visa application form and supporting documents at the visa application centre. The SMS service application form can be downloaded and completed before you visit Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC).

Courier service (Optional)

Applicants who are applying in person at AVAC may choose to have their processed passport or original documents delivered to their home/work address via courier (Original documents do not include bank statement and notarized certificate, etc.).

The applicable charge is:

RMB 78 per applicant (within China)

Photo and Photocopying services (Optional)

The applicable charges are:

Photographs: RMB 42 for 4 photographs (Chengdu AVAC); RMB 42 for 6 photographs  (Beijing and Shanghai AVAC)   (Not applicable in Guangzhou AVAC)
Black and White Photocopies: RMB 1 per page
Colour Photocopies: RMB 3.50 per page.

Premium Service Lounge (Optional)

The VFS Premium Service Lounge facilities are available at AVAC. The Premium Lounge includes:

  • Separate lounge with personalized service by dedicated staff
  • Refreshments
  • Faster submission of applications at the Visa Application Centre
  • Courier return of passport
  • Black and White Photocopying service for your documents (maximum of 10 copies)

What does it cost?

The Premium Service Lounge facilities cost RMB 390 per applicant (inclusive of taxes). This charge is in addition to the visa application fee and service fee.

Translation Service (Optional)
  • Please be informed that AVAC is now authorized by Department of Home Affairs to provide "TRANSLATION SERVICES" for visa applicants.
  • Applicants in need of translations of any documents prior to making an application for the visa OR during the process of the visa application can now use this service in AVAC.
  • The applicable charges are:
    • Translation per page : RMB 100
    • For complex translations : RMB 130 per page
Online Visa Application Lodgement Service (Optional)

For an additional fee of RMB 360 (per applicant), a trained professional from our team will assist you in completing the online lodgement of your Australia visa application, including data entry and uploading supporting documents and any subsequent documents, as per the request of the Department of Home Affairs.

Applicants who use this service may be eligible for a 3-year Visitor Visa (Tourist Stream), provided they meet all the requirements of the Australian Migration Legislation for a visa to be granted. This service with the 3-year validity feature is available only to Chinese passport holders with usual residence in mainland China.

To avail this service, applicants can walk in without an appointment to the nearest Australia Visa Application Centre with their documents. This service comes with a Visa Application Charge payable in AUD by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club or JCB accepted), as well as an Online Visa Application Lodgement Service fee payable in RMB in cash.

Note: By availing the “Online Visa Application Lodgement Service,” an applicant is acknowledging that under this service, Visa Application Centre through the local partner will only be completing the data entry of an application Online on behalf of an applicant. Visa Application Centre shall not be deemed to be providing any advisory services and all online questions will be answered on the basis of the information provided and duly verified by the applicant. Visa Application Centre will not be responsible for the outcome of the Online Visa application. Visa Application Centre will charge an applicant the prescribed fee which covers the scope of online data entry and application lodgement on applicant’s behalf only without any advisory or judgemental work.

Online Simplified Chinese Lodgement Service (Optional)

This service is available for Chinese nationals residing in Mainland China who wish to apply for a Subclass 600 Visitor Visa using Simplified Chinese language.

This service is only available for applicants outside Australia who are PRC passport holders residing in the PRC. It is only for tourism or other recreational activities (holiday, sightseeing, social or recreational reasons or to visit relatives or friends), not business visitor purposes.

This form should not be used by people with other Australian visa applications pending or APEC Business Travel Card holders.

Applicants choosing the service will complete an information proforma in Chinese language, upload supporting documents and pay for their Subclass 600 Visitor Visa application and related VFS service fee via this website. All documents should be a clear, high quality scan (at least 300dpi resolution). If you attach low quality scanned documents, processing of your application may be delayed.

VFS Global will receive the submitted application, translate the provided data in English onto the Department of Home Affairs form 1419, form 54 and provide the forms, supporting documents and remit the Department of Home Affairs Visa Application Charge to the Department of Home Affairs for standard processing.

The cost for the Online Simplified Chinese Lodgement Fee is RMB 264 (per applicant). This is in addition to the Visa Application Charge CNY730 and the AVAC Service fee RMB193.

Assisted Form Filling (Optional)

Applicants can avail this service at the Australian Visa Application Centre as an optional service. Appointed staff will provide assistance to complete a visa application form for submission at the VAC for an additional fee of RMB 240.

ETA Assisted Terminal (Optional)

Applicants can avail this service at the Australian Visa Application Centre as an optional service. Appointed staff will provide assistance to complete an ETA/E visitor application for an additional fee of RMB 360. For eligibility criteria, please click here.

Document Printing (Optional)

The applicable charge is:

Black and White Printing: RMB 6 per page

Walk in Appointment Service (Optional)

It will be mandatory to have an appointment for the submission of visa applications or enrolment of Biometrics at the Australia Visa Application Centre (AVAC) in Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shanghai. If due to any reason, you arrive at the VAC without an advanced appointment, you may be able to lodge your application by paying extra RMB 164 per application for a walk in appointment, subject to availability, or you can make an appointment by visiting AVAC’s website and return to the AVAC at the appointed time.
