Postal Application

Applicants applying for Australia Visa can send the applications directly to the correct Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) in China, as per Where to SubmitYour Application information sheet.

Step 1: Prepare the application documents

The latest visa application form should be completed and signed by the applicant. To view / download the latest forms, please visit Applications and Forms.

The Visa application form, along with the other documents and passport, should be packed in a strong envelope to ensure safe delivery. The application will not be accepted from the courier personnel if the envelope received is torn or damaged.

Please do not send any original documents.

Applicants should ensure that a payment slip is included in the application for the VFS Global service and courier charges are payable to the correct AVAC.

The following details should be mentioned on a cover letter in the envelope:

  1. Number of applications in the envelope
  2. Applicant’s name
  3. Applicant’s contact telephone numbers
  4. Applicant’s Chinese return address within mainland China (To be provided in case an original receipt (Fapiao) and/or a Visa Decision Letter need to be sent, or if any original documents need to be returned to the applicant).

Step 2: Choose a nearby centre

  • You may choose a nearby AVAC to post your application documents. Please refer to the Contact Us page for the addresses of the application centres.

Step 3: Make payment

Fee types Payment method
Visa Application Charge By Credit card - Complete the Payment Details part of the application form with card details and authorised amount in Australian dollars. Please include the contact details and signature of the cardholder.
Or
By using the Pre-pay function in the Manage Payments section in ImmiAccount - Attach your payment receipt to the application as evidence of payment.
AVAC service fee Bank transfer to your chosen AVAC bank account
** Courier Fee [domestic only]

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Please include an additional courier fee in the following cases:

  • If you need an original receipt (Fapiao)
  • If you have not provided an email address to receive your Visa Decision Letter
  • If you need your original documents returned (Original documents do not include bank statement and notarised certificate, etc.)

Step 4: Post your application documents

When all the documents are ready and payment is done successfully, you may post your application.
