The Embassy in Beijing is pleased to announce that VFS Global has been authorized to run the Italy Visa Application Centre in Beijing, Xian, Shenyang, Wuhan, Jinan. This service is available for Chinese citizens/non-Chinese citizens residing in China for Schengen or National visas. This site provides useful information and details related on application lodging and collection process.
Embassy informs that application can be also lodged directly at the Embassy /Consulates, by appointment, which waiting time is around ten days. For information click here
Step 2 Before you decide to apply for a visa please make sure you familiarize yourself with the information on the visa subclass you are applying for. Quick links to information on visa categories and other helpful information including Visa Fee, VFS Service Charge and Processing Time can be found on the Visa Wizard page on this website.
Step 3 Applicants should fill the Visa Application Form corresponding to the visa subclass under which they wish to lodge their application. Applicants can get the visa application form by visiting the nearest Australia Visa Application Centre or by downloading the forms from Applications and Forms.

Information for customers planning to visit our Italy Visa Application Centers under Beijing jurisdiction:
Please be informed that Italy Visa Application Centers in Beijing Jurisdiction will be temporarily closed on 02 October 2020 due to National Holiday festivity.
Please kindly be informed that starting from 29 June 2020 Italy Visa Application Centre in Beijing will open only on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 09:00 Hrs to 12:00 Hrs only on appointment.
For passport collection the appointment is not mandatory.

Presently, such possibility is limited only to the following categories of applicants:
Travelers with stable affective relationship with Italian/EU/Schengen citizens or with persons who are legally resident in Italy (on a long-term basis) and if they are travelling to their partners' home/domicile/dwelling (in Italy).
In order to lodge the application, the applicant is requested to submit:
For urgent reasons, including participation in international sporting events and international-level trade fairs authorized by the Ministry of Health.
Applicants must submit to the airline company and any staff designated for testing when boarding, within 72 hours before entry, the nucleic acid test negative report.
Family Reunion visa and Research visa;
For employment visa, family reunion visa, research visa, health research, health care, elderly care professionals visa after completed the booking procedure, in order to shorten the waiting time while applying, please kindly send an email to email@example.com. Kindly mention in the email your contact info, visa type, passport number and date of the appointment already scheduled. Please make sure to send us the invitation letter in English with imperative reason explanation. In case of work visa or family reunion visa please attach a scan copy of the Nulla Osta as well as a scan copy of your passport data page and contact info.
List of third countries that are prohibited from entering Italy:
The prohibition includes anyone who has transited or stayed in these countries in the past 14 days: Armenia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Kosovo, Kuwait, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Oman, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, Serbia, Colombia.
Please note that the Italy Visa Application Centers in Xi’an/ Shenyang/Jinan/Wuhan under Beijing jurisdiction will remain closed. Customers who need to collect their passports need to come when the VAC reopens. Regarding the re-opening of the centers, please refer to this page for further update.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR THE STUDENTS APPLYING FOR SCHENGEN OR NATIONAL STUDY VISA:
Starting from the 12 June 2020 students applying for a study visa (either Schengen or National visa) must fill in the online pre-enrolment application through the website UNIVERSITALY, as reported in the MIUR regulations published in June 2020 on the website Studiare in Italia. Please note that this procedure must be followed to enroll in any course held at Italian Universities. Therefore, in addition to the documents required for the study visa, students must also submit the output (Riepilogo) of the enrollment application generated by the platform and validated by the chosen University.
Please be informed that next year, the above procedure will also be implemented to enroll in AFAM institutions.
Increased fees for visa applications.
Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent.
