Re-opening of Italy Visa Application Centre in Guangzhou
Starting from 03 June 2020, the Italy Visa Application Centre - Guangzhou will reopen to costumers for submission of visa applications. Presently, such possibility is limited only to the following categories of applicants:
- Family members of EU citizens;
- Health care and elderly care professionals;
- Health researchers;
- Transit passengers;
- Passengers travelling for imperative family reasons (to be properly documented).

- Re-entry (Please send email to infocan.italycn@vfshelpline.com for appointment booking. Kindly make sure your email includes the following information: your contact phone number, the planned departure date, a scan copy of residence permit card and a scan copy of passport data page)
- Subordinate Employment visa and Family Reunion visa (Please send email to infocan.italycn@vfshelpline.com for Nulla Osta registration and appointment booking. Kindly mention in the email your contact number and make sure to attach a scan copy of the Nulla Osta as well as a scan copy of your passport data page.)
Travelers with stable affective relationship with Italian/EU/Schengen citizens or with persons who are legally resident in Italy (on a long-term basis) and if they are traveling to their partners' home/domicile/dwelling (in Italy).
In order to lodge the application the applicant is requested to submit proving documentation of the stable affective relationship (example: copies of previous visas, copy of entry/ exit stamps of the passport, wedding publication “Pubblicazioni di matrimonio”, any document proving that the applicant has visited the invitee or vice versa, evidence of stable, proven, affective relationship), etc. Please note that it is burden of the applicant/inviting person to adequately document the solidity of the relationship. It is requested to provide an auto-declaration written by the inviting person, stating the travel purpose and explaining clearly the relationship between inviter and invitee.
- For non deferrable reason, including participation in international sporting events and international-level trade fairs, authorized by the Ministry of Health. Applicants must submit to the airline company and any staff designated for testing when boarding, within 72 hours before entry, the nucleic acid test negative report.
The centre will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 09:00 Hrs to 12:00 Hrs for Submission and Passports Collection.

The Italy Visa Application Centres in Changsha, Fuzhou and Shenzhen still remain closed until further notice.

Increased fees for visa applications
Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent.
