Gentle reminder:
As a precautionary measure and in order to avoid the spread of the novel Coronavirus, all applicants visiting the Visa Application Centres are required to wear mask and have their body temperature checked at the entrance and fill in relevant information. Those who don’t wear mask and have fever will be asked to leave and return another day when their health improve. Applicants with signs and symptoms of novel Coronavirus (e.g. fever, cough and difficulty breathing) should seek medical advice as early as possible from the local Health Authorities.
The Visa Application Centre buildings management will follow local authorities’ special regulations on whether applicants from other cities can be allowed to enter the building. Please contact the respective Visa Application Centre through helpline or email in advance to know more about local regulations, in order to avoid any inconvenience caused during your application submission.

During Chinese New Year Holiday, Portugal Embassy in Beijing will be closed from 24 January 2020 to 29 January 2020, and work will be resumed on 30 January 2020. Beijing, Shenyang, Wuhan, Chengdu, Jinan, Xian, Chongqing and Kunming Visa Application Centers will be closed also during this time. The processing time of applications submitted just before the closing time will be longer than usual, please plan your submission time in advance, to avoid your trip being delayed. Thank you!

Regarding the notarized “Permission for minor to travel along or with one parent” which will be legalized by the Consulate of Portugal in Guangzhou, the Portuguese translation of “Permission” cannot be translated as “Authorization”, but instead it can be translated as “Declaration” or “Statement” etc., this applies to the Guangzhou Jurisdiction.

Effective from 03 December 2018, Consulate General of Portugal in Guangzhou starts to process visa applications under its jurisdiction.. Guangzhou Consulate jurisdiction area covers Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hunan, and Fujian province. From 30 November 2018 onwards applications accepted in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Fuzhou, and Changsha Visa application Center will be processed by Consulate General of Portugal in Guangzhou.
