HOW TO APPLY

Step 1 :

Please ensure you read the security regulation notices before you visit the Visa Application Centre.

Step 2 :

Before applying, please ensure you are clear on your ‘purpose of visit’. Do remember our staff will be available to assist and help you through the entire visa application process. However, the staff is not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Please go to the link to know your visa type  for information on the various visa categories.

Step 3 :

Complete your online Visa Application Form

Step 4 :

Attach all supporting documents, as per checklist. Make sure your application is complete.

Step 5 :

  • Schedule an appointment (mandatory)
  • You are required to book an appointment to visit the Visa Application Centre in China to submit your visa application. The Visa Application Centre in China will only accept Visa Applications From persons residing in China. Please click here for more information on scheduling appointments.

Step 6 :

Organize payment of the visa fees by cash/WeChat/POS (RMB))

Step 7 :

Visit Visa Application Centre in person as per appointment scheduled and submit your completed Visa Application Forms along with required supporting documents. If your application is incomplete at the time of submission a new token will have to be collected in consideration for other applicants who are waiting. Withdrawal: Temporary withdrawal

“If applicants require to cancel their application, they need to email a signed cancellation request to the German embassy or the German Consulate General in charge.”

Consequently the whole application will be withdrawn and will be returned from the Consulate to the applicant via VFS.

Applicants who have applied for a Schengen Visa and given Biometric data after 12th Oct 2015, (that is, the fingerprint data is valid within 59 months in central data base), applying for the Business Visa can also send the applications directly to the German Visa Application Centre within his/her jurisdiction.
