  • Information for Applicants planning to visit Visa Application Centre in Xi`an

    Starting 30 June 2020, Xi`an Portugal Visa Application Centre will be relocated to Floor 3, Tongjian Pavilion, No.4, Consulate District, Xi 'an Chanba Avenue, Chanba Ecological District, Xi 'an City, Shaanxi Province, China. The previous address will no longer be valid.

  • Information for customers planning to visit our Portugal Visa Application Centres

    Please note that below list Portugal Visa Application Centres across China will reopen since 16 June 2020.

  • You can find the details for open time and categories of National Visas that can be accepted:

    • Beijing Portugal Visa Application Centre: 09:00 hrs – 12:00 hrs (Every Tuesday, Thursday.except on public holidays)
    • Shanghai Portugal Visa Application Centre: 09:00 hrs – 12:00 hrs (From Monday to Friday, except on public holidays)
    • Guangzhou/Shenzhen/Fuzhou/Changsha Portugal Visa Application Centre:   

    09:00 hrs – 12:00 hrs (Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. except on public holidays)

  • The following applicants may be exempted from travel restriction and might still be eligible on visa application submission: (For Shanghai Portugal Visa Application Centre, one mandatory email states with type of National Visa you need to apply and other details should be sent, then wait for confirmation before you are going to Shanghai Portugal Visa Application Center.)

    • E6 and D4 Visas for study purposes;
    • E1 and E7  temporary stays for medical purposes and accompanying people, namely minors and people with disabilities; Please pay attention that categories must present a formal declaration issued by Health authorities that states a valid reason to ask for those types of Visas;
    • E2 for temporary transfer of employees in companies in Portugal;
    • E4 for investigation purposes of less than a year;
    • D2 Visas for independent of start-up workers;
    • D3 for highly qualified activities of investigation and others;
    • D6 Visas for Family Reunion purposes.
  • Please have an appointment for application submission at the visa application centres in advance. ]

  • Kind Attention: Precautionary Measures By Building Management in Shanghai

    According to the latest notice by Shanghai Leading Group Office for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, to further prevent and control the risk of imported COVID-19, from now on, the company will adjust the list of key countries and regions in a timely and dynamic way in accordance with the development trend of the global epidemic. The acceptance rules for applicants from different regions will be updated as follows:

    1. All people entering Shanghai from overseas shall be quarantined for a period of 14 days for health observation. After they meet the health requirements for epidemic prevention and control, their applications can be accepted;
    2. All those who come to Shanghai from/by way of areas at high risk of epidemic disease in China shall be subject to a 14-day quarantine for health observation and shall have novel Coronavirus nucleic acid test twice. After they meet the health requirements for epidemic prevention and control, their applications can be accepted. (See table)
    3. All those who come to Shanghai from/by way of areas at medium risk of epidemic in China will be subject to a 14-day strict community health management and will have novel coronavirus nucleic acid test twice. After they meet the health requirements for epidemic prevention and control, their applications can be accepted. (See table)

  • Increased fees for visa applications

    Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent.

  • Wuhan Visa Application Centre closure from 23 January 2020 - Information for customers planning to visit our Wuhan Visa Application Centre

    Customers are advised that the Portugal Visa Application Centre in Wuhan have been closed since 23 January 2020, on account of official notice from the Pneumonia Epidemic Control Headquarters of Wuhan to limit inflow and outflow of people and reduce the spread of the virus.

    Customers who come to collect their passports on 23 January will need to come when the VAC reopens.

    The reopening will be scheduled for after Chinese New Year, and will be announced separately according to the official notice from the Pneumonia Epidemic Control Headquarters of Wuhan. Please contact infojvac.wuhanchina@vfshelpline.com for any inquiry.
